Nili-Ravi Buffalos for Sale in Pakistan
Nili-Ravi buffalos are the milking buffalo of central Punjab, named for the Sutlej and Ravi rivers and recognised by their wall eyes and the white markings on forehead, muzzle, legs and tail switch (the panj kalyan pattern that sellers often mention). Ads on Pets Bazar come mostly from Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Okara and Sahiwal districts and give the daily milk yield in litres, the lactation number and whether the animal is fresh, pregnant or dry.
Buying notes: treat the yield figure as a claim and ask to watch a morning or evening milking before you commit. Check the udder for evenness and the teats for damage, look at the teeth to confirm age, and have a vet confirm pregnancy if it is part of the price. Buffalos handle heat only with wallowing, shade or water spraying, so ask how the animal is kept in May and June. Ask for the foot-and-mouth (FMD) and haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) vaccination record and the last deworming date. Visit the farm, settle the price in person, and arrange transport yourself.

Frequently asked questions
What should I check before buying a Nili-Ravi?
See the animal in person, ideally with its mother or parents. Check the vaccination card for dates and a vet's stamp, ask about deworming, and look for clear eyes, a clean coat and normal energy. Walk away from any seller who wants payment before you have visited.
