About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Pets Bazar website at pets-bazar.com and the Pets Bazar mobile app, whether you are browsing, buying, selling or running a shop or clinic page. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Pets Bazar.

In these terms, "Pets Bazar", "we" and "us" mean the operator of Pets Bazar, and "you" means the person using it.

What Pets Bazar does

Pets Bazar is an online classifieds marketplace. We provide a place for people to advertise pets and animals, find them, and talk to each other. For pet listings, we are not the seller, the buyer or an agent of either, and we are not a party to any sale.

Approved pet shops can also sell physical products on Pets Bazar, and where a shop has turned on Cash-on-Delivery, buyers can place orders through the site. Those orders are covered in their own section below.

Your account

You need an account to post ads, message other users, make offers, report ads and place shop orders. You can register with an email address and password or sign in with Google.

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or use Pets Bazar with the involvement of a parent or guardian
  • The information you give us must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account
  • One person may not use another person's account or create accounts to get around a ban or the free plan limit

Posting ads

Posting a pet ad is free. A free account can keep up to 5 ads active at a time, and each ad can include up to 10 photos. When you post an ad, you confirm that:

  • You own the animal or item, or have the owner's permission to sell it
  • The description, photos, price, breed, age and health details, including whether the animal is vaccinated, are true to the best of your knowledge
  • The photos are of the actual animal or item for sale and you have the right to use them
  • Selling the animal or item is legal where you are, and you will follow any laws that apply to its sale and transport
  • You will mark the ad as sold or take it down once the animal or item is no longer available

What is not allowed

We may remove any ad, review or message, and suspend or ban any account, that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe puts other users or animals at risk. This includes:

  • Ads for animals whose sale is prohibited by law, including protected wildlife
  • Ads that promote animal fighting or cruelty in any form
  • Fake, misleading or duplicate ads, and photos copied from elsewhere
  • Scams, including asking for advance payments for animals that do not exist
  • Harassment, threats or abusive messages
  • Spam, and using Pets Bazar to advertise unrelated goods or services
  • Collecting other users' contact details for purposes other than a genuine purchase

Buying and selling pets

A pet sale on Pets Bazar is an agreement made directly between the buyer and the seller. The buyer and seller agree the price, arrange to meet or arrange delivery between themselves, and the buyer pays the seller directly. Pets Bazar does not collect, hold or transfer payment for pet listings, takes no commission on them, and does not offer buyer protection, refunds or a payment guarantee for pet sales.

The Make an offer feature records a price proposed and agreed between buyer and seller. It does not take any payment and does not by itself create an obligation on Pets Bazar.

We do not inspect animals and cannot confirm the health, breed, age, vaccination status or ownership of any animal advertised. Buyers are responsible for seeing the animal and satisfying themselves before paying. Our safety tips page sets out the steps we recommend.

Shop orders and Cash-on-Delivery

Pet shops on Pets Bazar are reviewed by our team before approval. When a shop has turned on Cash-on-Delivery, you can check out its products on Pets Bazar and pay the courier in cash when your order is delivered. The shop is the seller of those products and is responsible for their description, quality, packing and dispatch.

For completed Cash-on-Delivery orders, the shop pays Pets Bazar a platform commission of 0.5% of the order. This commission is charged to the shop, never to the buyer.

Fees

Browsing, creating an account, posting pet ads and messaging are free. Pets Bazar has paid features, such as a Pro plan without the 5 ad limit and options to promote an ad, but these are paused at the moment and cannot be bought. If we reintroduce paid features, their price will be shown clearly before you pay, and these terms will be updated.

Reviews, reports and moderation

Users can leave reviews on sellers, shops and clinics. Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience, and free of abuse or personal information about others.

Signed-in users can report any ad. Our team reviews reports and may remove content, suspend or ban accounts, or take no action, at our discretion. The Verified badge on some seller accounts is added by our team; it is not a guarantee about any animal, product or deal.

Content you post

You keep ownership of the text and photos you post. By posting them, you give Pets Bazar permission to store, display, resize and share them on Pets Bazar and in links to your ad, for as long as the content is on the site and for a reasonable time afterwards, for example in backups. You are responsible for what you post.

Limits of our responsibility

Pets Bazar is provided as it is. We work to keep the site available and the marketplace safe, but we do not guarantee that the site will be free of errors or interruptions, or that any user, ad or deal is genuine.

To the extent the law allows, Pets Bazar is not responsible for any loss arising from a deal between users, including the health, condition or delivery of an animal or product, or any payment made directly between users. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use of Pets Bazar

You can stop using Pets Bazar at any time. To close your account, email support@pets-bazar.com from the address linked to it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Pets Bazar changes. If a change is significant, we will make reasonable efforts to let users know. Continuing to use Pets Bazar after a change means you accept the updated terms.
