How Pets Bazar Works
Buying a pet, step by step
Pet ads on Pets Bazar are a direct deal between you and the seller. The site connects you and gives you a place to talk; the sale itself happens between the two of you.
- Browse a category, or search, then filter by city, breed and price
- Open an ad to see the photos, the seller's description and details such as age, gender and whether the seller says the animal is vaccinated
- Sign in and message the seller through the built-in chat to ask questions and agree a price
- Arrange to meet the seller and see the animal, or agree how it will be delivered
- Pay the seller directly, ideally at the moment you collect the animal
Paying for a pet
Pets Bazar does not handle payment for pet listings and takes no commission on them. Any money for a pet goes straight from the buyer to the seller, in whatever way the two of you agree, so there is no payment protection from Pets Bazar on a pet sale.
Because of that, we strongly recommend paying only when you have seen the animal in person and are ready to take it home. Never send an advance to a seller you have not met. Our safety tips page covers this in more detail.
Making an offer
If the asking price does not suit you, signed-in buyers can use Make an offer on an ad. The seller can accept your offer, turn it down, or reply with a counter offer, and you can accept their counter. An accepted offer is a record of the price you both agreed; it does not take any payment, and you still pay the seller directly.
Selling a pet, step by step
Posting an ad is free and there is no commission when your pet sells.
- Create a free account, or sign in with Google
- Choose a category and fill in the details: title, price, city, breed, age and a clear description
- Add between 1 and 10 photos in JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB each; the first photo becomes the cover
- Publish the ad and reply to buyers who message you
- Once the animal has gone to its new home, mark the ad as sold from your dashboard
How many ads you can post
A free account can keep up to 5 ads active at a time. When one sells or you take it down, the slot frees up for a new ad. A paid Pro plan that removes this cap exists, but paid plans and other paid features are paused on Pets Bazar at the moment, so every seller is currently on the free plan.
Buying products from pet shops
Pet food, accessories, toys and other products are sold by approved pet shops, which our team checks before they can list anything. This part of Pets Bazar works differently from the pet classifieds.
When a shop has turned on Cash-on-Delivery, you can add its products to your cart, check out on Pets Bazar with your delivery details, and pay the courier in cash when the order arrives. You pay the price shown and nothing extra to Pets Bazar. For completed Cash-on-Delivery orders, the shop pays Pets Bazar a commission of 0.5%.
Vet clinics and pet shops directory
Pets Bazar also lists vet clinics and pet shops, so you can find a vet for a check-up before or after buying an animal. Buyers can leave reviews on shops and clinics to help others choose.
Reporting a problem
Every ad has a Report this listing link for signed-in users. Use it for spam, suspected fraud, inappropriate content, animal welfare concerns or duplicate ads. Our team reviews every report and can remove ads and ban accounts. For anything else, email support@pets-bazar.com.
