Frequently Asked Questions

Posting an ad

Is it free to post a pet ad on Pets Bazar?

Yes. Posting a pet ad on Pets Bazar is free, and there is no commission when your pet sells. You only need a free account.

What animals can I sell on Pets Bazar?

You can post ads for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hens, goats, cows, buffalos, camels and horses. Ads for animals whose sale is illegal, including protected wildlife, and ads that promote animal fighting are not allowed and are removed.

How many ads can I post?

A free account can keep up to 5 ads active at a time. When an ad sells or you take it down, you can post a new one in its place. A paid Pro plan without this limit exists, but paid plans are paused at the moment, so every seller is currently on the free plan.

How many photos can I add to an ad?

You can add between 1 and 10 photos to each ad, in JPG, PNG or WebP format and up to 5 MB each. The first photo is used as the cover image, so choose a clear, well lit photo of the actual animal.

Can I post an ad if I do not live in one of the big cities?

Yes. Pets Bazar works across the whole of Pakistan, so you can post and browse from any city or town. Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta also have their own dedicated pages.

What should I do when my pet has sold?

Mark the ad as sold from your dashboard. This stops new buyers contacting you about it and frees up one of your active ad slots for a new ad.

Buying safely

How do I pay for a pet on Pets Bazar?

You pay the seller directly. You agree the price with the seller in chat, meet or arrange delivery, and pay the seller yourself, ideally when you collect the animal. Pets Bazar does not handle payment for pet listings and takes no commission on them.

Does Pets Bazar offer buyer protection or refunds on pets?

No. Because payment for a pet goes directly from the buyer to the seller, Pets Bazar cannot hold, refund or guarantee that payment. The safest approach is to see the animal in person and pay only when you collect it.

How do I contact a seller?

Sign in and use the chat on the ad to message the seller. If the seller has added a phone number, it is shown on the ad to signed-in users. Keeping the conversation in Pets Bazar chat until you have met gives you a record of what was agreed.

Can I make an offer below the asking price?

Yes. Signed-in buyers can use Make an offer on an ad. The seller can accept, decline or send a counter offer, which you can then accept. An accepted offer records the agreed price but does not take any payment; you still pay the seller directly.

How can I avoid pet scams?

Never pay an advance or booking amount to a seller you have not met, and be wary of prices far below the usual rate or requests for extra courier or vaccination fees. Meet the seller in daylight where the animal is kept, take someone with you, check the animal and its vaccination card, and pay only when you collect it.

What does the Verified badge mean?

The Verified badge is added to some seller accounts by the Pets Bazar team. It is a helpful signal, but it is not a guarantee about a particular animal or deal, so you should still see the animal before paying.

How do I report a suspicious ad?

Sign in, open the ad and use the Report this listing link. You can report spam, suspected fraud, inappropriate content, animal welfare concerns and duplicate ads. Our team reviews reports and can remove ads and ban accounts. You can also email support@pets-bazar.com.

Shops and Cash-on-Delivery

Can I buy pet food and accessories on Pets Bazar?

Yes. Approved pet shops sell products such as food, accessories and toys on Pets Bazar. Where a shop has turned on Cash-on-Delivery, you can order its products through the site.

How does Cash-on-Delivery work?

Add a shop's products to your cart, check out on Pets Bazar with your delivery details, and pay the courier in cash when the order arrives. Cash-on-Delivery is available only for products from shops that have turned it on, not for pets.

Does Pets Bazar charge buyers a fee on shop orders?

No. You pay the price shown by the shop. Pets Bazar receives a commission of 0.5% from the shop on completed Cash-on-Delivery orders, and this is never charged to the buyer.

How are pet shops approved?

A pet shop applies from its Pets Bazar account, and our team reviews the application before the shop is approved and can list products.

Does Pets Bazar list vet clinics?

Yes. Pets Bazar has a directory of vet clinics and pet shops, separate from the pet classifieds. Users can leave reviews on shops and clinics to help others choose.

Account and privacy

Do I need an account to browse Pets Bazar?

No. Anyone can browse ads, shops and clinics without an account. You need a free account to post ads, message sellers, see a seller's phone number, make offers, report ads and place shop orders.

Who can see my phone number?

If you add a phone number to your account, it is shown on your ads only to users who are signed in, never to anonymous visitors. Your email address is not shown to other users.

Does Pets Bazar sell my personal information?

No. Pets Bazar does not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers. It is shared only as needed to run the marketplace, for example with a shop when you place a Cash-on-Delivery order, and as described in our Privacy Policy.
